Our Commitment
frank green is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to our products and services, and we work continuously to provide a digital experience that is inclusive, usable, and welcoming to all.
frank green consistently strives to ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines relating to web accessibility, and follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in cooperation with individuals and organisations around the world. More information about WCAG 2.1 recommendations can be found at https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/.
We make every effort to build webpages to meet or exceed Level "AA" WCAG 2.1 compliance. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is recognised and acknowledged as the international standard.
Ongoing Commitment
Accessibility is an ongoing priority for frank green. We regularly review and test our website against WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, and we work with external specialists to support compliance and enhance accessibility across our digital platforms. We are committed to addressing any accessibility barriers that are identified and to continuously improving the experience for all users.
Below are some of the steps we have taken to ensure our webpages are as easy as possible to navigate for all users:
- Our webpages are often rich with content, images, and functionality. We strive to keep colour contrasts in line with WCAG recommendations wherever feasible.
- Our webpage layouts are structured for easy navigation for individuals using a screen reader. We use semantic HTML5 with appropriate tags to distinguish content headings, sections, listings, tables, and other formatting features so that users can easily and consistently navigate the website with assistive technology.
- We do our best to include a text-based alternative for all images.
- Many of our webpages contain audio and video content, and wherever feasible we provide a text-based alternative, including captions and transcripts.
- Users are able to use zoom-in or zoom-out functionality on most of our pages.
- Most parts of our webpages can be accessed using only tab-based keyboard navigation or keyboard emulators.
- Our webpages are built using valid HTML. Where feasible, we endeavour to support common user agents and assistive technologies, though not all user agents and assistive technologies parse valid HTML uniformly.
- Many of our webpages use third-party-vendor-provided components. We encourage our vendors to build their widgets and components to be WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant.
- Some of our webpages use social media widgets that contain user-generated content and images. frank green cannot control user-generated content, which may not be WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant.
- We include accessibility features such as: keyboard navigability, descriptive alt text for images, proper heading structure, sufficient colour contrast, and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) labels where appropriate.
